|Review| Tatcha Luminous Collection

Hi, hello!

I’m really excited to talk to you all today about two products I’ve been trying for about a month now. I wanted to really put these products to the test and give you my honest opinion, because as you will see, these products are quite pricey.

Tatcha is a Japanese brand created by Victoria Tsai and is a luxurious skincare company that has been inspired by traditional geisha beauty rituals. Tatcha uses natural and simple ingredients, which is something I love about the brand.

I myself am Japanese, so I was really honoured when I got sent these products for review. I  was interested to see how this luxurious brand differed from the drugstore products I regularly use.

The first product I will be reviewing is Tatcha’s Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum. This product can be used on all skin types and aims at reducing puffiness around the eyes and providing a firming effect. It is also intended to moisturize the skin around your eye and to lessen fine lines!

I can’t really say it lessens fine lines as I don’t have them *yet* haha. But I can say that it definitely did reduce the puffiness around my eyes. I tend to get puffy eyes when I wake up, and when I put this on before bed, I noticed in the morning they were not puffy anymore.

The firming eye serum is also made of a ceramic cooling tip (pictured above), which made my under-eye area feel AMAZING. Honestly, when you first use it, you will be amazed! I kept using it over again just to feel the cooling sensation! That is definitely something I love about this product for sure.

I tend to have sensitive skin, especially when using new products and this product did not irritate my skin at all, which lived up to its claim.  You can purchase the eye serum here for $95 USD or $33 USD for a travel size.

The next item I had the chance to review is Tatcha’s Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate, which costs $110 USD and can be purchased here. I have to admit the price is pretty steep for both products, but out of the two, I really enjoy this one. Here is why..

As someone with pretty dry skin, I would say the moisturizer I use on a daily basis (Aveeno) does the job, but I feel like I need to use it a lot–whereas a little bit of this product goes a long way, so you definitely do not need a ton when applying it. I also really enjoy the gel texture to it!

This serum claims to hydrate, diminish fine lines and also promote a youthful glow. Again, I can’t speak too much about the fine lines, but in terms of a glow, that is something I definitely got! This serum is also intended for all skin types, and it did not irritate me whatsoever, which is great.

I’ve been working this into my daily moisturizing ritual and to be honest, I was hesitant to because I wasn’t sure if I could see myself buying a $110 cream on a consistent basis. BUT I think it is completely worth it. When I wake up every morning, my skin is very moisturized to the point that when I touch my face, it still feels hydrated and extremely smooth.

When I do not use this product for a while and I go back to my drugstore creams, I can 100% see a difference. I find my face way more dry when I use my drugstore creams, and my makeup doesn’t apply as smooth either as I get dry patches. In comparison, I feel like my makeup has a really strong base when I have used the Tatcha serum overnight as it is so hydrated the next day. I am so in love with this!

I realize that these products are quite pricey, but I think in this situation, you get what you pay for. I really do think these products are great, and that is 100% my honest opinion. If I had to choose one product to recommend to all of you, it would be the Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate as I think I see the most results with this–I know that even before I run out, I will be buying another jar! 🙂

What is your go to skincare routine? Can you see yourself using these products?

Love always,

Jess xo.
