|May Favourites| Morphe, The Estee Edit, Too Faced, Ofra, and more!

Hi, hello!

May has been an interesting month for me. I got settled back at home and it took FOREVER to organize all my beauty items in my room. I went from having one Alex Ikea drawer to now having THREE. And my items JUST fit too…oh man haha!

I definitely will have to do a de-clutter soon- so let me know if that is something you would like to see here! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been trying and testing out quite a few products this month- some of these favourites are brand new, and some have been long time favourites I have re-discovered!

Stella & Grace Dead Sea Mud Mask: This deep skin cleanser has rocked my world this month! I have noticed a difference in my skin by using this on a weekly basis! I have found that I have less blackheads and blemishes from using this product and I truly feel like it has minimized my pores! I have never used a mud mask before, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try this. I love that this mask is also made of natural ingredients such as magnesium and sodium, so I feel confident that I am using something that is not going to really damage my skin! I believe this cleanser is on sale now for $20, so if you are interested I highly recommend trying it out! It comes in a huge jar with 7oz of product which is amazing ๐Ÿ™‚

The Estee Edit Dissolve the Drama 2 in 1 Makeup Remover Cleanser: OK, so I’m not the best at having a nightly skin care routine…only because I get super lazy when I’m tired. I go to bed pretty late, so taking off my makeup is just another pain in the butt to me. I always take my makeup off, but when it comes to a whole routine and it is 1am, I’d rather not. With this product, it removes my makeup and also acts as a cleanser to truly remove any makeup on my face. The first step feels pretty oily, as the remover is made up of jojoba oil, cucumber oil, and aloe..but once I activate the oil by using water on my face, it turns into a milky solution that makes my skin feel super soft and clean. It removes EVERYTHING. My waterproof mascara is not even an issue when it comes to this stuff!

Ofra Cosmetics ‘You Glow Girl!’ Highlighter: This product is in collaboration with @dupethat and I have to say they did an amazing job! They came out with another highlighter as well, but this is the only one I own. This pink highlighter almost looks a bit purple/mauve to me in the slightest way. I honestly do not own a single highlighter like this. It is incredibly pigmented and lasts all day! You only need a little to make an impact. I have been using this highlighter non-stop!

Too Faced Love Flush Long Lasting 16 Hour Blush in Baby Love: Firstly, I absolutely love the song Baby Love…so I knew it would be love at first sight when I laid my eyes on this blush! This shade is a neutral nude shade with a hint of rose and shimmer. I think this would be a favourite for others as well, since it is so wearable. I can’t really say this blush lasts exactly 16 hours, but it definitely lasts when I choose to wear it!

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Light: I received this concealer at Generation Beauty in Toronto and had the opportunity to try it before its released! I am obsessed with the Born This Way foundation, so I had really high hopes and expectations for this concealer and it definitely met them! This concealer is really pigmented and erases any dark circles I have! It blends really well and is also moisturizing, which is great as my under eye area can get dry! This item releases June 15 on the Too Faced website!

Mellow Cosmetics Liquid Lip Paint in Tehran: OH MY GOSH. Okay, so I plan on doing a whole review on these lip paints because they are AMAZING. One I have been wearing non-stop is Tehran, which is a beautiful nude shade. When I first tried this product I thought…wait..this can’t be real. But it is! I think I’ve found my favourite liquid lipstick formula EVER! When I swatched them on my arm, they could look a tad patchy but on my lips (which is what really matters) it glides effortlessly and is so comfortable all day long! It does not transfer either! I don’t know how they did it…but I am truly in love with it.

MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation in C1: I have a deep love for this foundation. I’ve loved it for a few years now…and I am still in awe when I use it. I like using this foundation primarily for ‘no makeup..makeup days’ haha! it provides a sheer coverage that evens out my skin. It is moisturizing and also leaves a satin finish which is amazing. What is great about this foundation is that it is also water resistant. This is perfect for days that I’m going to be out and about but don’t want to wear a ton of makeup!

Joe Fresh Illuminating Primer in Pure Glow: I have really enjoyed using this primer underneath my makeup for a radiant look! Sometimes I mix it in with my foundation or use it as a base, but either way I love how smooth and bright my face appears when using it! A little goes a long way, and it comes in quite a large package so it is definitely worth the price! The name definitely suits the product..it truly gives a pure glow ๐Ÿ˜‰ When blended, it provides a really nice sheen giving you a nice glow!

Morphe Brushes 35o Palette: This palette is continuously in and out of stock, but for good reason. This affordable palette delivers amazing quality and pigmentation! These warm colours are literally everything- I could probably just use this palette alone every day (but obviously I’m a makeup addict and need to have every makeup product possible..hahah). You can see in the picture which ones I adore! I do wish they had names or something to the shadows as it is hard to describe them and such, but overall, these shadows provide an amazing look no matter which shade you use! I would say this palette is DEFINITELY worth purchasing!

How was your month of May?

Let me know what your favourites were down below and if you have tried any of mine! If not…is there one you’d like to try?! ๐Ÿ™‚

Love always,

Jess xo.

Note: Some products have been sent as a PR sample, but all opinions are my own!

I’ve only tried one lipstick from Mellow Cosmetics in shade Electro, a bright orange but I wasn’t very impressed. It goes on a little patchy and I don’t enjoy the velvet feeling on my lips. I look forward to your full review on the liquid lipsticks. And yes to destash post! Will you consider doing a blog sale?
