|Haul & Review| MAC Cosmetics Snow Ball 2017 Holiday Collection

Hi, hello beauties!

I hope you have all been doing well! Now that Halloween is coming to an end, I thought I would share what I purchased from the MAC Cosmetics Snow Ball Holiday Collection…because you know I bought something! Haha.

The 2017 holiday collection from MAC has spectacular packaging – its bling can shine for days! Its luxurious packaging has gold flecks with the MAC symbol embossed on it in white. I truly believe this collection is a nice collectible if you are into collecting makeup – I know I am!

This collection comes in a wide range of products from shadows, highlighters, lipsticks, glosses, and many sets that were available for pre-order. You can go to your local MAC store or booth as they will all be available for purchase (although I believe Whisper of Gilt comes out November 2 in Canadian stores).

One of the pre-orders I made was the Mini Lipstick Kit that retails for $83.50 CAD. This spectacular (while pricey) set comes with 12 lipsticks that are widely popular shades. Each shade comes with a corresponding colour tube, which I think makes the entire set so special! Who doesn’t love limited edition special packaging?!

The shades that come in this set are:

  • Party Commencing
  • Little Darling
  • Please Me
  • Mangrove
  • Ruby Woo
  • Rebel
  • Flat Out Fab
  • Good Kisser
  • Diva
  • Velvet Teddy
  • Whirl
  • Stone

Velvet Teddy, Whirl and Stone are my absolute favourites! As much as I want to share swatches of these with you all, this is my collectors piece from the collection that I’ve devoted myself not to touch (at least for now). The rest I will be swatching though 🙂

One of my favourite pieces from the holiday collection are the Face Powders, retailing at $38 CAD. Along with their beautiful exterior packaging, they also have a snowflake embossed in the powder, making these extra special and cringe worthy to use! I did try these out though and although they aren’t blinding face powders, they do illuminate the skin and provide a nice glow!

The MAC lipsticks ($22 CAD) and the Extra Dimension eyeshadows ($26 CAD) also packed a punch this year. I purchased two lipsticks, both with frost finishes complimenting the eyeshadow I purchased, Its Snowing.

The last set I pre-ordered was the Mini Lipstick Kit in Cool, which includes three gorgeous nude shades! It came in the small makeup bag pictured, which includes a super cute disco ball with the zipper! I’m loving the sparkly vibes I get from this collection.

That’s it for my haul! Overall, I’m super pleased with this holiday collection and I’m so happy to have some of these collectibles in my possession. MAC really provided some gorgeous items this year around – my only wish was for more of a stand out highlight that wasn’t Whisper of Gilt…perhaps a new limited edition shade!

Have you gotten anything from this collection, or do you plan to? Let me know!

Love always,

Ooh the mini lipstick kit is adorable! I love how the outer casing matches the shade inside!
I do love the Extra Dimension eye shadow formula – maybe I will have a peek at what shades they’re offering… this could be dangerous. 😉
