Hi, hello my loves!
I hope you have all been well – I’ve been struggling with the Instagram algorithm lately..it seems as if my numbers just keep going up and down, and vice versa! I’m glad I have my wolf pack of followers here on my blog though, you are all AWESOME! 🙂
Today I am going to be sharing some new launches Wet n Wild has come out with for 2018! I’ve been using Wet n Wild for years….I think they were actually one of the first brands I used when getting into makeup. Their brand is trusted, user friendly and is also very affordable which I definitely appreciate.
I’m really excited that Wet n Wild graciously sent me these products to review with you all as there are some major hits within these launches that I can’t wait to share with y’all!
One of the first of many items to share is their new MegaCushion line – it comes in colour correcting shades such as green and lavender, and they also have a bronzer and highlight shade available, all for $5.99 USD. I must admit, I really like these and I think they provide awesome colour payoff! The colour correcting shades are hands down my favourite – the green and lavender hide imperfections such as redness and dullness. I do prefer using my own sponge opposed to the one provided, but as a product they do the job really well!
The bronze shade worked really well using a different stippling brush, not the one it came with. The colour was really nice and blended well which I was surprised about to be honest, only because I’ve never used a cushion bronzer before. I definitely recommend trying the colour correcting and bronzing cushions out! In regards to the highlight cushion, it was just okay for me. I personally like a pretty bold highlight and this one didn’t do too much for me.

Wet n Wild is known famously for their quality eyeshadows at an affordable price and this is no exception. Unfortunately I received one (Moonchild) that was broken, but that can easily be fixed. My favourite by far is Brass, which is a gold sparkly shade that really packs a punch! These are all new shades coming to a store near you, so I’d definitely check them out as they are super affordable yet pigmented.
Wet n Wild has also come out with a new Photo Focus Matte Setting Spray at $4.99 USD. I’m super stoked to try this one out as my t-zone sometimes gets oily throughout the day. My skin used to just be dry, but lately I’m getting oily in areas which is new to me – so it will be a good time to try this! Based on my initial first impressions, the spray isn’t my favourite – it isn’t much of a mist, it definitely sprays you pretty well so that is something to keep in mind if you are thinking of trying this one out.
Two spectacular new items from Wet n Wild are their highlighters. One being the MegaGlo Highlighting Powders! The one I received is called Golden Flower Crown and retails for $4.99 USD. It is a beautiful golden highlight that is totally up my alley and I can see it being a popular shade. Another stand out product is their new Hello Halo liquid highlighter which is just WOW. If you can see from the swatch it is PIGMENTED! A little definitely goes a long way. I love the applicator of the liquid highlighter as it allows for some precision when applying, and I just typically use my finger to blend it out. If there’s anything I recommend trying, it will be these two highlighters!
I also had the opportunity to test out their new Retractable Brow Pencil in Dark Brown and their 1st Gel Lip Pout Liners in Pink Electro, Doll in love Again, and Lay Down the Mauves. In terms of the brow pencil, I quite liked it – it reminded me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer! I did find it was a bit stiffer than the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer though, and I did have to work at it for the product to warm up a bit.
The gel lip liners I thought were fantastic! I think they are lightweight, creamy and really glided on my lips like butter! My favourite shade is Lay Down the Mauves as I reach for those types of shades often. I definitely recommend picking one of these up for $2.99 USD!
Unfortunately I don’t know exact Canadian pricing for all these items as my reference for prices is the Wet n Wild website – but the USD prices give an indicator of a ball park range you’d be paying (well, a little more haha).
By far one of my favourite items is the Comfort Zone palette re-vamped! It has a new formula and new look, but with the same promising shades! As you can see, they still look pigmented. They definitely upgraded the formula as they feel even better than the original! I 100% recommend checking this palette out if you don’t already own Comfort Zone…or even get this palette if you own the original as it is definitely newly improved.
What do you think about some of the 2018 launches Wet n Wild has to offer? I am in love with the brand and am so excited to see them come out with new and exciting items at such a great price!
Love always,
Omg such nice products they are bringing to us next year! I absolutely love the look of the single eyeshadows, both highlighters and the setting spray! Oh I can’t wait for these to come to my local beauty store! xx
